Royal Chitwan National Park is the world famous park for its exiting and wonderful wildlife adventures. Sitting on elephant back, one can see the burning eyes of illusive tiger, one horn rhino, panther, black bear, four kinds of deer, and many other wild animals as well as aquatic games like canoeing/ swimming/fishing, gigantic crocodiles and beautiful over 500 kinds of birds life jungle boundary.
Access/ Accommodation
Chitwan is accessible both by air and land. There are daily flights to Meghauli and Bharatpur from Kathmandu. Since Chitwan is connected by the east west highway and the Prithivi highway, land access is the easiest and optical.
You can also reach the park by rafting down the Trishuli River that joints the Narayani River bordering the park.
Resorts
Resorts of different categories are available inside and outside the park. Most of those inside the park mainly in the center and the western part are of the upper and luxurious category. At Sauraha, the eastern entry point to the park, there are around hundred resorts of different standard with different rates.
Season
Except in monsoon (between late June to mid- September), the park is open for the rest of the year. During March to June the temperature can reach as high as 43 degree Celsius with heavy rain.
